The Victory Dance Project celebrates its 10-year anniversary sharing the company mission to ‘Make the Impossible Possible with the Power of Movement.’
Founder & Artistic Director Amy Jordan, a West Palm Beach native, founded The Victory Dance Project in response to a vow she made after being hit and crushed by a New York City express bus. She vowed at the time of impact: “If I survive the night, there will be a Victory Dance.”
Her right leg was nearly amputated and literally rebuilt. That vow made while pinned under the bus tire manifested as she did her literal Victory Dance on stage with the company in 2017.
Ms. Jordan is delighted to continue the mission of the company in her hometown of West Palm Beach.
The celebration will feature performances from local dance organizations as well as The Victory Dance Project signature works including the full length contemporary ballet ‘Human Revolution.’ They will be presenting the ‘Artist for Peace’ Award and have a few fun surprises.
